Moving day is always planned to be an easy task but rarely does it ever turn out that way. We made it easy on ourselves by hiring professionals to get the job done right. We figured we would take the advice we have been giving our customers since our beginning—let the professionals do the work. With the experience of the professional movers along with the assistance of all of us here at Got Memories, the move was completed in just one day on Saturday March 28, 2010.

Thomas Edison registered over 1,000 patents during his illustrious inventive life. The light bulb is one of his most notable inventions. However, he is responsible for many other products including the phonograph. Once he developed a method to replay sound; he turned his attention to motion pictures.

Many professional and amateur photographers are learning painful lessons when it comes to slide scanners. While some of these scanners are capable of producing reasonably good quality images, they tend to be plagued with problems and the scanning process is incredibly time consuming. Choosing a professional company to send your slides out to for digitizing is currently the best way to go. The quality with most reputable companies is better than you will ever be able to produce with consumer equipment, and the advantage they give you in a reduction in headaches and time lost is immeasurable.

If you don’t have a film-transfer company near where you live, you can find plenty of them on the Web that work through the mail. Some of these include GotMemories (which shows a video of the transfer process on its site), the Home Movie Depot and Video Conversion Experts. YesVideo works with local drugstores to let you drop off your film reels in person.

Got Memories was featured in a report on small business in Phoenix by Michelle Algazi of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism. The report was used on ASU TV.

Please Note: This video displays equipment we no longer use. We update our equipment yearly so none of the hardware pictured is still in use. We currently use an updated transfer process and hardware that allows for a quicker transfer and lower cost to our customers. In addition, we have recently moved into a larger facility in Tempe, AZ.
